The Solar Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to advancing the use of solar and solar-compatible technologies worldwide.

The Solar Foundation published the U.S. Solar Industry Diversity Study 2019 is an in-depth look at diversity, inclusion, and equity in the solar industry. It includes new data on wages, advancement, and career pathways for women and people of color.

Solar Energy Industries Association

SEIA values diversity, inclusion, and equity within our organization and the promotion of these values across the solar industry.

SEIA has launched a Diversity Challenge - an effort to encourage our own members, the energy industry more broadly, and ultimately all American workplaces to make diversity and inclusion a core part of their cultural identity.

 

Women of Renewable Industries and Solar Energy

Founded in 2005, Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) is a national nonprofit with a growing presence working across the renewable energy economy with over 30 chapters and a broad purpose – to change our energy future through the actions of women.

By building Community, promoting Education, and cultivating Leadership, WRISE works to recruit, retain, and advance women and inspire our members and the public to unite in raising their voices for others.

Renewables Forward

Renewables Forward is an open and collaborative resource for inspiring greater diversity & inclusion within the renewable and clean energy industry.

Their goal is to identify specific ways to work together to create the change we all recognize is needed, commit to this change, and drive a larger industry-wide partnership between CEOs and organizations.
